The trip is the anchor, not the whole itinerary
A four-hour pontoon does not fill Friday night. Out-of-town groups still need food within a drive of the marina and something to do after they dry off.

01 — Why this email exists
A four-hour pontoon does not fill Friday night. Out-of-town groups still need food within a drive of the marina and something to do after they dry off.
They gave you a date, a party size, and an email. That is more context than a random “things to do in Austin” listicle. Use it.
If the note reads like an affiliate dump, they will mute you. If it reads like a dockhand who lives here, they will forward it to the group chat.
02 — What to put in the note
Keep the confirmation you already send: date, boat, dock address, what to bring, waiver link, remaining balance if you use one. Then add a short “while you are here” block. Three food ideas near the lake or downtown. One nightlife note that matches the party — bachelor group is not anniversary couple. One evening event idea if they still have legs after the water.
Tickets are a real add-on mention because many charter guests are already shopping a concert or a game for the same trip. One line is enough: if they want seats without paying the whole stub up front, buy now, pay later tickets is a rec you can stand next to tacos and a rain plan. Do not paste a marketplace homepage. Do not list every tour on the calendar.
03 — How to send it
01
Same thread as the receipt so it does not look like a second brand. Subject can stay operational: “You’re booked — dock details and a few local notes.”
02
Family with kids gets a different dinner list than a six-top bachelor charter. You already collected party size. Use it.
03
Weather, arrival window, what not to wear on a wet boat. Skip a third email unless they asked a question.
04 — Where this lives in Slipstack
Slipstack’s job is the charter: hold the boat, take the money into your Stripe, collect the waiver on that booking. The after-booking email is content you control — templates, dock notes, local recs — sitting on the same guest record. That is the booking software path, not a second vendor for dinner reservations.
For the Austin day-then-night shape, see the charter itinerary. For what belongs on the public site, not just the inbox, use the weekend visitor playbook.
