Not a template. Not a 6% middleman.
Listing platforms make onboarding look like three easy steps because they are renting you a stall in their mall. The guest list is theirs. The 6% booking tax is theirs. The website looks like everyone else's. Slipstack does the opposite job: stand up real infrastructure in your name, then put a custom booking widget on a site that is actually yours. a custom quote. 0% of the charter.
What setup actually means
This is the work that usually eats a season if you try to assemble it yourself. We take it off your plate so guests only ever see a clean book button.
01
We provision an environment that is yours — boats, reservations, guest records, waivers, and history isolated from every other operator. This is not a row in a shared marketplace. Customer information belongs to the company. If you leave, it leaves with you. Standing that up correctly is the part most “easy” booking tools skip.
02
We wire your Stripe account into the engine: deposits, remaining balances, supported installment methods, refunds, receipts, failed cards, and the final charge before the trip. Guests pay you. You are the merchant of record. Payouts land in your account. Slipstack never sits on the money.
03
Then we fire the widget into a website designed for your brand — not a template skin on our domain. Live availability, holds so two browsers cannot take the same slot, party size, add-ons, deposits, and checkout. Guests never bounce to a marketplace. You never rebuild calendar math.
04
Waivers before anyone boards. Admin for boats, blocks, discounts, and no-shows. Guest email and reminder plumbing. Overlap rules so a full day takes the afternoon off the board. The unglamorous production work operators usually duct-tape together from a form, a spreadsheet, and a Square reader.
05
Existing reservations come across. We test a real card end to end. The old booking link keeps working until you are ready. Then we flip to your domain, train the crew, and stay through the first month. The guest flow looks simple because the infrastructure already exists.
The tax you stop paying
Scale that across a season and you have funded a first mate who never shows up at the dock. Slipstack does not take a cut of the booking. Card networks still take their processing fee — that is Stripe, and it pays out to you. The widget is yours. The customers in the database are yours. That is why the setup is not a three-step wizard.
You own
Guests, contact info, trip history — in your database, not a platform’s.
Stripe payouts to your merchant account. No Slipstack wallet in the middle.
Your domain, photography, copy, and a site that does not look like the next marina over.
We keep running
Live calendar, overlapping trips, rollback when checkout dies mid-payment.
Your branded checkout, sitting on your pages, powered by the shared engine.
Waivers, admin, notifications, deposits, and the final balance before departure.
