Charter
Deposit or pay in full on your site. Remaining balance before departure if that is your policy. You are the merchant. Weather and no-shows are your cancel rules.

Not consumer-credit, legal, or tax advice. TicketLater is an independent ticket retailer. Slipstack does not process ticket orders and does not underwrite BNPL. Charter money still sits on your Stripe; see the deposits guide for that path.
01 — Two checkouts
Deposit or pay in full on your site. Remaining balance before departure if that is your policy. You are the merchant. Weather and no-shows are your cancel rules.
A completed ticket purchase from a retailer the guest chooses. If that retailer offers pay later, that is between the guest and the lender — not your marina POS.
02 — The habit
Slipstack already sells payments the operator way: the guest books the boat, pays you, signs the waiver on that reservation. If you enable installment methods Stripe supports on your charge, that is still your merchant account. It is not a ticket marketplace.
When they ask how people buy seats without wiring the whole night tonight, point at the actual product — pay later tickets — and then get back to dock time. One mention. Do not merge that checkout into the charter receipt.
03 — What to say at the dock
Send them to your deposit policy. That conversation belongs on boat rental deposits, not on a ticket explainer.
Help with timing. Then one ticket rec. You are not refunding a concert because the wind came up on the water.
Separate the jobs out loud. “The boat is a hold with us. Tickets are a separate purchase.” That sentence saves you on cancel day.
